We value companies that share our principles to work ethically, responsibly, openly and together with others.

We invest many millions of dollars every year with Australian, Northern Territory and local Borroloola suppliers.

We support local businesses by consciously sourcing goods and services from local suppliers wherever possible. Our policy is to source local suppliers who provide value for money and quality products or services. We also assess businesses based on their involvement in community support programs or local social initiatives.

Our procurement process involves business planning, tendering, contract management and reviews. All contracting companies performing any work onsite need to be appropriately accredited in line with relevant legislation and Glencore's Values, Code of Conduct and Glencore Corporate Practice. Suppliers also need to meet accreditation requirements in relation to our product stewardship and sustainable development policies.

Our policy is to give Northern Territory businesses the primary opportunity to supply our needs where there is capability competitively available.

MRM Annual Charity Golf Days

Our suppliers help give back to the local community through our annual charity golf days. The events are held over two Fridays in August, bringing together staff, contractors and suppliers to raise up to $100,000 for local charities.
