Situated in the remote Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin, McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future ahead of it.

Operating since 1995, MRM is the world's second largest zinc resource and a key operation in Glencore's global portfolio.

McArthur River Mine is an important part of the Territory's resources history and continues to make a big contribution to the Territory and the nation.

Today the McArthur River Mine is world's second largest zinc resource and a key part of Glencore's global business.

MRM produces zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine which is then processed and stored onsite before being transported to Bing Bong Loading Facility and shipped to our customers all over the world.

We are proud of our 20-year history in the Territory and remain committed to running a safe, responsible, sustainable and competitive mining operation.
